Tour Dogwood Canyon Nature Park

A nature lover’s paradise, Dogwood Canyon Nature Park spans 10,000 acres on the Missouri-Arkansas border. A paradise of sorts, with its miles of crystal clear streams, cascading waterfalls, ancient burial caves, unique hand-built bridges, and deep, blue-green pools. The pristine venue, featuring five on-site venues and outdoor spaces, is a picture-perfect setting for a wedding.

If you select Dogwood Canyon for your event then your first choice for your ceremony is likely to be an outdoor ceremony. Say “I Do” against one of many natural backdrops, such as a crystal clear stream or waterfall. Customize the space to your liking with decorations and sittings that align with your personal style or wedding vision.

In the event of inclement weather, or should you prefer a more homey ceremony, opt for the Hope Wilderness Chapel. Modeled after historic churches from the 1800s, it was hand-crafted from local materials including native short-leaf pine logs, rough-sawn oak flooring, and an eastern red cedar ceiling. Framing a striking view of a waterfall, the chapel’s back wall frames a picturesque view with floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors leading to a private patio.

Directly behind it sits the Chapel Patio, another beautiful setting for a ceremony, as well as a cocktail hour or reception. The nearby stream makes for ambient sounds that guests will enjoy throughout your event.

Nearby the Canyon Gill Restaurant can be transformed to your liking. A magnificent space featuring hand-hewn exposed beams and a large wood-burning fireplace with floor-to-ceiling windows framing a spectacular view of Indian Cliff Falls. For a seamless flow from ceremony to cocktail hour and reception, combine this space with the Canyon Grill Patio for a fully cohesive event space featuring the backdrop of the park’s largest 150-foot waterfall.

Finally, consider the Chuckwagon Pavilion nestled in the heart of the canyon. This photogenic area features rustic details, including a streamside pavilion and a grassy lawn. The rental of this space also includes octagonal cedar picnic tables, a stage and speakers for performers, and a bar.

Of course, don’t forget to take a minute to wander the grounds, alone or with your wedding party, for some timeless portraits starring the natural wonders throughout the park!
